Joy Njenga
So many people in the world never have the opportunity to pursue their passions.
I aim to live life each day to the fullest and never stop chasing my passions and dreams. Often this has meant forging new paths and learning to enthusiastically say YES to new adventures, as unexpected as they may be.
I've always been passionate about travelling and aimed to somehow connect it with my desire to create a lasting impact. Unsurprisingly, this inspired me to pursue a Specialized BA Degree in International Development Studies and later my Post Graduate in Fundraising Management.
My love for delicious food and exploring new cuisines led me to work as a part-time line cook as a way to pay for school but eventually blossomed into a career in restaurants. Combining my passion for food & my extensive background in restaurant management, Malkia Cuisine was born.
Malkia Cuisine and (by extension the Taste of Kenya Boxes) aim to share the Kenyan meals and snacks that I grew up enjoying - From Our Kitchen to Yours.
